AL-KO is the worldwide, leading, caravan chassis manufacturer and has currently produced over 2 million chassis.

Since 1968, caravan manufacturers have been designing and developing caravan bodies for use on our chassis and running gear.
We now supply over 80% of the caravan market, with a technologically advanced chassis concept, which is unsurpassed in terms of quality, reliability and performance.
Chassis supplied to the UK Caravan Manufacturers are designed using the latest CAD packages in our Engineering Department, here in the UK. Actual production of the chassis take place in our state-of-the art manufacturing facility in Kötz, Germany, where economies of scale can be fully employed. The axles and axle components are subsequently manufactured here at our head office in Warwickshire.

The majority of our customers are now using the latest Vario II chassis technology but you will still find somewhat older caravans in constant use; fitted with previous designs of one & two-piece chassis members.

The AL-KO chassis is Hot Dipped Galvanised. This is regarded as one of the best forms of corrosion protection. It does however require minimal maintenance in certain circumstances.

To identify if you have an AL-KO chassis fitted to your caravan, look along the outer edge of the chassis frame. You should find the AL-KO logo stamped into the chassis.
