One piece chassis members were generally supplied by AL-KO from approx. 1988-2002, (although some manufacturers still take this chassis for a small number of model ranges). They consist of one complete galvanised section, which was designed specifically to suit each individual caravan model produced, up to a maximum of 1500 Kg. Obviously, as the chassis were supplied in one piece, transporting, storing and handling the chassis could be difficult and these were eventually replaced by the Vario II chassis.
