Two piece chassis members were introduced in the early 80's, and consist of a front towbar member, plus a main member section. This provides increased flexibility for assembly, transportation and storage. The two-piece chassis has a series of pre-punched holes to allow fitment of various AL-KO Accessories. The majority of two-piece chassis were eventually replaced in circa. 1998 by the current Vario II chassis concept.
