AL-KO SECURE REGISTRATION/ DE-REGISTRATION PROCESS

INFORMATION BULLETIN

With reference to the already well established AL-KO Secure registration process, we are currently experiencing a number of calls from unhappy customers who are unable to register their AL-KO Secure locks.

Upon investigation we have established that the reason for this is that previous owners of the vehicle have not “De-Registered” the locks when they have sold the vehicle on.

The registration process is based around two unique elements: the Cris number of each caravan and the “Unique identification number” of each key set.

The system does not allow for double entry of the Cris number unless the previous entry has been de-registered. It is therefore imperative that you de-register your details against the sold caravan’s Cris number so that the new owner can register theirs.

AL-KO Secure locks are not marked in any way to identify them. The only means of knowing which locks/keys an individual has is by the “Unique identification number” contained on the card that comes with each of the lock sets. Without this information and without the locks being registered any customer requiring replacement or spare keys can not obtain them.

Please note therefore that if you sell your caravan and you include the locks in the sale, then you should always pass on the cards that go with the locks AND you should ensure that you de-register your details.

If you sell your caravan on and do not include the locks in the sale, then you should still de-register your details.

If you purchase a new caravan and give us a call then we will be able to enter your new Cris number and lock details in your old registration file and you will not therefore have to go through the whole registration process again.

De-registration is very quick and simple and can be done either by a phone call to us or by you logging on to our website. In either case you will need to have your reference number (JUD number), your password and the answers to the three security questions. All of this information you provided at the time of registering your locks.

If you have purchased a caravan from a dealer and are unable to register your locks then please contact us. For security reasons we will of course have to confirm a) with the previous owner that they have sold the van on, or b) with the dealer to confirm that you are the new registered owner. Once this is confirmed then we will be able to de-register the previous owner and carry out your registration.
