Grease is seeping from my 'sealed for life' bearings.

Seepage usually occurs if the drum gets hot - for example through overloading or towing with parically engaged brakes.

Manufacturers advise that a small amount of seepage is perfectly acceptable, and is not considered a failure. The seepage can be removed and the drum cleaned.

However, in the case of excessive seepage contcat your local AL-KO Approved Service Centre.

My bearings 'fell apart' whilst removing the brake drum.

The most likely cause is that the wrong drum removal tool has been used. Please check the correct drum removal tool is being used for the specific drum in question.
